Piggy Squire Food Quality

The Piggy Squire was born from Matt Squire's lifelong passion for quality local produce and real food. Matt's ability to hold an hour long conversation with friends over the virtue of outdoor reared as opposed to factory farmed pork is a great example of this. Some people would say passionate, some might say eccentric and some friends do say plain boring! Quality means everything to Matt and The Piggy Squire, and we are delighted to have been awarded five stars in the 'Scores on the Doors' Food Hygene Ratings for 2010.

Our suppliers

In truth, the search for the ultimate butcher did not take long. We use Peter Goss, the highly esteemed and multi award winning butcher. Peter Goss has been providing the Bicester community and many high profile clients with locally sourced meat to his own exacting standards since the 1950's. Peter sources all our pork from one small Oxfordshire farm. As Peter says, it is the best pork he has ever seen in all his 45 years in the trade.
